Angle Steel Bars also known as L-shape cross-section is a hot rolled steel which have
cross-section that is made at an angle of 90 degrees. It is widely used in the construction
industry. Moreover, it has many grades to support various works, but the most popular grades in
Thailand are SS400.
In engineering works, it is commonly used to make large structures such as electric poles and
radio transmission towers because it can withstand heavy load of the tall structure, endure
strong wind at high altitudes, and some cases earthquakes. Thus these structures uses Angle Bars
in order to be flexible which can bear with tensile strength, and torque caused by wind and
earthquake.
